A look into maternal relationships. For this piece I was thinking about the complex relationships between mothers and daughters and how they are built on both love and sacrifice. With influence from my Japanese heritage I was thinking about the relationships between Asian mothers and daughters and my own relationship with my mother. What gets passed down through generations? What are we trying to hide? How much can we hide?
